Species: Golden Tilefish (Lopholatilus chamaeleonticeps; ITIS=168546)

Topical Working Groups:

Year range: 1972-2022 (Previous Assessment: SEDAR 66 1972-2018)

• Terminal Year: 2022 for analytical products, but please provide 2023 if available at the time of query

Commercial:

• Boundary: North Carolina-Virginia border to the Florida Keys in Monroe County, Florida along US Highway 1. Landings in Monroe County were apportioned by data providers to exclude landings north of the Florida Keys, which are considered part of the Gulf of Mexico
• Fleet structure: (1) Commercial Handline, (2) Commercial Longline (other gear types not included in SEDAR 66)
  • Removals from all gears should be provided to confirm fleet structure for this assessment
• Landings units: Pounds (gutted weight) and numbers

Recreational:

• Boundary: North Carolina to Florida, including the Florida Keys
• Fleet structure: General Recreational (headboat landings not included in SEDAR 66)
  • Removals from all modes should be added to confirm fleet structure
• Landings units: Pounds (whole weight) and numbers

• Fishery Independent
  • MARMAP Bottom Longline index (LBLL/SBLL/combined): Catch per unit effort (CPUE), defined as whole weight per number of sets by the number of hooks per set
  • SADL (new data requested, TOR #5)

  • Commercial Fisheries Logbook Program Longline Index: Pounds per hook hour
